Novia VC2 AVCL

Product Overview

Novia® VC2 is a high quality, reinforced vapour check membrane for use as an internal Air & Vapour Control Layer (AVCL). The material meets EN 13984 and is UKCA marked. When correctly installed, Novia® VC2 acts as an air leakage barrier and is suitable for use in insulated roof and wall applications where low moisture vapour resistance is required. Novia® VC2 minimises air leakage and energy heat losses, improving the long-term energy efficiency of constructions. Novia® VC2 is a strong material which is manufactured from high performance laminated polymers, with a reinforcement scrim. Novia® VC2 offers improved durability when handling on site, when compared to traditional single-ply polythene membranes, therefore reducing the risk of accidental damage to the membrane during installation. Novia® VC2 is a translucent, milky white membrane, and has no text or images, which allows for ease of installation to the structural framework.

Novia® VC2 meets the requirements for UKCA marking, originally introduced under the 2013 Construction Products Regulations with CE marking. Under this European directive, all products covered by a current hEN (harmonised European Norm) must comply with the new standard. Third party accreditation is no longer sufficient. This has been adapted to UKCA following the UK departure from the EU.
